    Heat the oil in a pot over medium heat. Add the bacon and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned and crispy, about 4-6 minutes. If the sausage has a casing, remove it, then add the sausage to the pot. Break it up with a spoon and cook until browned.

    Stir in the garlic powder, oregano, and a pinch of salt and cook for about 30 seconds, until fragrant. Add the black beans and stir to coat them in the spices. Pour in the broth and bring to a simmer. Cook uncovered for 10-15 minutes.

    Turn off the heat and stir in the orange juice. Season to taste with salt and pepper, then serve.
